Current explanations of schizophrenia give emphasis to a combination of environmental stress, inherited susceptibility, and bio-chemical abnormalities. In schizophrenia, there is a split between thought and emotions, which may become faint, or very inappropriate. An individual diagnosed with schizophrenia would lose interest in external activities, discontinue contact with others, experience a breakdown of personal habits, incapable of dealing with daily events and experience delusions, hallucinations, and thought abnormalities found in other types of psychosis. A person diagnosed with schizophrenia is unable to form one item of information at a time. Their thoughts and actions are being controlled. Schizophrenia people usually have more than one personality and split between though and emotion.
